Life and Death Vessels: A Collection of Curiousities

Mixed Media

Life and Death Vessels consists of a variety of artefacts and glass vessels incorporating living and preserved plant and animal specimens.  The installation explores the complex relationships between humans and other organisms and engages with the human endeavour to understand and control the world around us, particularly through scientific investigation.

To date three versions of the installation have been exhibited with different themes and collections of objects that connect to accompanying works and exhibition focus.
