Foundations and Ripples consists of an installation composed of three wall panels and central dome sculpture containing genetically engineered protein. The work was commissioned for for the group show Femel_Fissions at The Block which highlited the contributions of female scientists.

 Foundations and Ripples responds to the pioneering work of scientists Lynn Margulis and Esther Lederberg. The work comments on how their research contributed to our understanding of the complex interrelationships between different organisms and helped lay the foundations of new technologies such as genetic engineering.
