Still Frame Time Passing

DENNIS KRATZ: Photomedia

Dennis Kratz are collaborative interdisciplinary artists (Sarah-Mace Dennis and Svenja Kratz) whose work experiments with the possible interactions between diverse disciplines including photo-media, film, sound, installation, performance, interactive environments and critical and creative writing. The series Still Frame: Time Passing developed from a residency undertaken in the remote NSW town of Hill End in 2004. The images utilise the metaphor of ghosts as carriers of historical narrative to explore issues of place, presence, absence and the passing of time.
